It is so much better to connect with someone who is experienced in painting so that you can learn from them. You will cut down on years of trodding along. When you connect with a mentor or a painting business program, it will put you years ahead of the game.

To look professional it is a must to have a website. It is a sign of trust and authority. It gives your customers the assurance that you are a reputable company that is serious about the look of your painting business. Some painters will opt for a Godaddy site (I wouldn’t use Godaddy at all. They keep adding charges. It gets frustrating) or a Wix site (if you need free, here is the place to go). However, with the Wix site in thinking long term, they can struggle to rank on Google.

I recognize most painters don’t have a lot of cash to put down on a brand new site. Most websites can cost $4000 or more. I have chosen to offer painters a different pathway in which they can get a great site without the hassle of spending the time and frustration of creating their own.

Getting a Google My Business listing will help you begin getting reviews on Google for your business. This is really important because all of your customers will be looking at your Google reviews.

This is sort of a necessary evil when starting out. Your long-term goal should be to free yourself up from these companies as quickly as possible. You can find local Facebook groups in your area that are talking about things relevant to your nearby town. People post all kinds of things. Typically, people will ask about local services. Would anyone recommend a good painter? Then, people will leave comments. This is a great way to get your name out there. In the search column of that town Facebook page type in painters. Look for posts about painters. Then, comment with your name and website.
